UK-Malaysia Symposium

Hi there!

Please be informed that Dr Sufyan Akram will be leaving us with effect from 2 February 2010. It's been an honour having such a great lecturer with us :)

Another reminder for those who have not taken Lecturers' Evaluation survey, you can take it here: Click Here to take survey
Your time and effort spend taking the survey is greatly appreciated, every evaluation will help acknowledge lecturers who are doing a good job and let us (more importantly, the deans) know those who can still improve.

UK-Malaysia Symposium on Cancer Drug Discovery and Development

Date: 24-25th February 2010
Venue: Subang Jaya

This Symposium aims to bring about the discussions between UK and Malaysia researchers on the development and use of various target-specific anti-cancer assays to study Malaysia’s natural products. Introducing the local research communities to research groups in the UK who specialize in various target-specific cancer activities may lead to collaborations that result in discovery of more effective anti-cancer therapeutics based on natural products.

Admission to the symposium is FREE OF CHARGE but due to the limited number of places available, all participants are requested to register early and before 5th FEBRUARY 2010 via fax or email or mail. Participants are also strongly encouraged to submit an abstract to showcase local research. A small number of poster prizes and outstation travel bursaries are available based the merit of the submitted abstract.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

A 250 words abstract must be submitted by e-mail before 5th January 2010.

Notification of acceptance will be e-mailed to authors by 19th January 2010.

For registration form and the latest information regarding the event, please visit www.carif.com.my or email conf@carif.com.my or contact Ms Norazwana Samat (Tel: +603-5639 1874)

Happy Holidays! and to M109, welcome to Semester 3 :)

Warmest regards,
Jodie
